WHAT WE DO
We have a heart for international students attending the University of Missouri Kansas City and other universities in the Kansas City metro area. Caroline knows how overwhelming it can be for new students arriving in the US as she was one of those students herself many years ago. Through our ministry we provide the international students with transportation to shopping, to the airport and bus station, to attend Colonial Church and Grace Indian Fellowship, to cultural events in Kansas City and any other needs they might have. We invite students in small groups to our home for friendship meals so they can learn about our culture which gives us the opportunity to have discussions about our faith in Jesus Christ. Several students attend a weekly Bible study in our home. We believe that by building friendships with international students we can show Christ's love through our actions, words and lifestyle.
OUR MISSION
The mission of INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS OF KANSAS CITY is to share the love of Jesus Christ by offering hospitality and building friendships with international students studying at local colleges and universities.
WHY MINISTER TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS?
Over 720,000 international students study in the United States each year. These are the brightest students from many countries overseas. Many will return to their home countries after completing their Masters and PHDs where they will become political, academic, and business leaders in their own countries. We have the opportunity to share Jesus Christ with them while they are studying here in Kansas City.
